About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Sourcing Manager - Direct Procurement to support procurement operations for a leading diagnostics organization. In this role, you'll work across multiple sites to ensure alignment with category management strategies while managing supplier relationships, addressing escalations, driving cost savings, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field required; advanced business degree (MBA or similar) strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of procurement experience, including contracting, enterprise systems, and spot buying.
  • Proven ability to support cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical mindset; able to use data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Solid negotiation skills with the ability to create and execute negotiation strategies.
  • Effective communicator who can adapt messaging to various audiences with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-service oriented, able to translate business needs into actionable procurement solutions.
  • Comfortable contributing in team meetings, presentations, and cross-functional discussions.
  • Basic proficiency in enterprise procurement tools with a good understanding of end-to-end procurement processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced business degree (MBA or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Background in operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Life sciences industry experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems, procure-to-pay tools, and eSourcing tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Direct Procurement Operations activities, ensuring compliance and alignment with broader procurement and sourcing strategies.
  • Support supplier management, issue resolution, and escalation handling to maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Manage procurement-related master data to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement value improvement programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence efforts within procurement.
  • Apply enterprise systems, procure-to-pay tools, and eSourcing platforms to streamline sourcing processes.
  • Use both qualitative and quantitative data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Develop and implement negotiation plans; independently handle moderately complex negotiations, with support as needed for larger or high-impact contracts.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into procurement specifications with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Deliver clear and tailored communications to stakeholders and suppliers, contributing effectively in team discussions and presentations.
