About The Position

Sourcing Lead, Procurement, IMS (Integrated Module Solutions) – CIMS Procurement Locations: Anderson, SC | Westerville, OH | Monterrey, MX The Sourcing Lead, CIMS Procurement is a strategic, project-focused procurement role supporting Vertiv’s rapid growth in Integrated Module Solutions (IMS) across the Americas. This position serves as the primary procurement and supply chain representative embedded within cross-functional CIMS project teams, supporting complex, large-scale customer projects from award through final site commissioning. The role is accountable for end-to-end execution of third-party buyout equipment and services, including highly engineered, low-volume equipment such as transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, and chiller systems, as well as project-based services such as module fabrication, integration suppliers, engineering consultants, and construction trades. Acting as the key interlock between Procurement, Commodity Management, Engineering, and Project Execution teams, the Sourcing Lead ensures supply assurance, cost control, contract compliance, and on-time delivery while proactively identifying and mitigating supply risks throughout the project lifecycle. Serve as the dedicated sourcing and procurement lead for assigned CIMS projects, acting as the primary point of contact between Procurement and cross-functional project teams. Program-manage supply chain execution from purchase order placement through final delivery and commissioning at customer sites. Proactively identify supply-related risks including supplier capacity constraints, long lead times, technical compliance, quality risks, logistics challenges, and single-source dependencies. Develop, execute, and track mitigation plans in collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Logistics, Finance, and suppliers. Coordinate procurement inputs to project schedules, ensuring alignment with customer milestones, budget targets, and delivery commitments. Support preferred supplier base development and localized sourcing strategies aligned with CIMS business needs, including supplier development initiatives within Mexico.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within a project-based, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, and project timelines in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar).

Nice To Haves

  • CPM, CPIM, or APICS/ASME certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify supply-related risks early in the project lifecycle and assess potential impacts to cost, schedule, and customer delivery.
  • Develop, drive, and track mitigation plans for identified supply risks in collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Coordinate procurement activities including RFQs, supplier evaluation, sourcing analysis, and purchase order placement.
  • Manage supplier execution against contractual, commercial, and technical requirements, ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
  • Maintain project-level supply chain tracking, delivery performance reporting, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Logistics, and Finance/Accounts Payable to manage purchase orders through completion and final payment.
  • Ensure adherence to Vertiv procurement policies, standard practices, and system requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, business process enhancements, and system implementation efforts as required.
