Are you up for the challenge? The Sourcing Associate role is an exciting way to jumpstart your strategic sourcing and procurement career in the world of beauty. You will have the opportunity to learn the many functions of an Indirect Strategic Sourcing Department, deepen your sourcing and procurement skills, build valuable relationships, and make an immediate impact by driving savings to the bottom line. In this role, you’ll support various sourcing projects in the Information Technology (IT) & Digital (eCommerce) category. This includes sourcing projects, price and contract negotiations, financial analysis, and basic project management. All with a goal of driving savings and creating meaningful value for Ulta. This position reports to a Sourcing Manager. Your categories will include software (often SAAS), Digital/eCommerce platforms, professional services, and other IT purchases as required. Overall, the role requires strong organization, analytical skills, frequent and clear communication, problem-solving, positive working relationships, and a demonstrated ability to learn new categories and industries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 1-3 years of related sourcing, contracting or procurement experience
• A desire to constantly learn and grow
• Self-starter with the ability to efficiently manage your time
• Knowledge of sourcing, contracting, and procurement best practices
• Some prior experience negotiating with suppliers
• Basic understanding of common contract terms and ability to read and revise agreements with the support of your manager and Legal
• Excellent verbal and written communicator
• Proficiency with Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office suite
• The ability to learn sourcing, purchasing, or contracting software systems (training provided)
• Creative, problem solver

Nice To Haves

• Process improvement, consulting, and project management skills and experience a plus
• Occasional travel required

Responsibilities

• Leverage internal data (SAP Ariba, contracts) and external data (quotes, proposals, benchmarks) to analyze spend, RFPs, and negotiation results
• Support RFPs and other sourcing events
• Participate in agreement negotiation with Sourcing Manager and Legal support
• Conduct market research
• Ensure proper procurement processes are adhered to
• Support Ulta’s efforts to further sustainability and inclusion
