About The Position
This role will be based in Atlanta. At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is on-site, meaning it will be performed in the specified office on a full-time basis due to the business needs of the team. The Sourcing Associate is an entry level sourcing position and will assist category managers across the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) organization with data and analytics requests. The associate will need to be proficient in sourcing tools and processes and have a basic understanding of our procurement policy. The individual role requires the associate to execute assigned projects from source to pay with oversight from manager or senior category managers. The Sourcing Associate must have a general understanding of strategic sourcing practices and process. This associate will assist in contract preparation therefore must have a basic understanding of key negotiation principles. Tasks include but are not limited to preparing category market intelligence, overseeing supplier relationship management activities, data analytics, and relationship management for assigned categories. The Sourcing Associate will support basic data analysis, identify savings opportunities, and leverage market insights to aid in decision making. This role requires general knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies related to various indirect sourcing categories to develop and support market analysis and lead sourcing events with limited supervision.
