About The Position

The Procurement Organization includes a staff of more than two hundred sourcing managers, buyers, analysts, and supplier diversity personnel. Our mission is to deliver cost effective and valued procurement services through strategic, diverse, and sustainable business solutions. Our work requires close integration with all functional areas, finance, and our suppliers. The Procurement Excellence Center (PEC) is a strategic function dedicated to driving procurement transformation, operational efficiency, and value creation across the organization. Within the Procurement organization, the PEC establishes best practices, standardizes processes, and leverages systems, advanced analytics, and market intelligence to enable data-driven decision-making. The PEC collaborates with all Procurement teams to enhance capabilities, improve performance, and optimize costs. Key focus areas include systems, market intelligence and analytics, digital procurement transformation, risk management, supplier relationship management, governance, and capability development. Position Summary Provides system administration, functional support, training, and change management. Leads or supports implementation of system changes and enhancements, with a strong focus on supporting and advancing AI initiatives within procurement. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland based on business needs or company requirements. PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint ($102,000 - $127,000). The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
7 years of experience in procurement or other job-related discipline
Extensive participation in projects of medium to high complexity
Knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay process.
Advanced understanding of SAP Ariba modules

Knowledge or experience with SOX and/or procurement compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Administers and configures procurement systems, ensuring optimal performance.
Performs thorough system testing to validate end-to-end functionality, uncover defects, and verify compliance with requirements.
Delivers advanced support for procurement systems to internal clients and suppliers, resolving escalated issues efficiently.
Creates content for new and updated instructor-led and web-based training programs.
Prepares and revises training materials, including job aids, web-based modules, and PowerPoint presentations.
Facilitates training sessions and leads informational or focus group meetings.
Drives change management initiatives and oversees communications.
Oversees the implementation of system enhancements, ensuring adherence to deadlines and system requirements.
Leads teams in developing and implementing process improvements within Procurement operations.
Mentors less experienced team members and serves as the team lead for cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Lead and support the implementation of AI-powered procurement technologies to automate routine tasks, optimize workflows, and enhance data-driven decision-making.
Develop and deliver training programs and job aids focused on AI technologies in procurement.
Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of AI tools, including hands-on workshops, webinars, and digital learning modules.
Mentor team members on AI best practices and emerging trends, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the procurement organization.
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, integrating external insights and benchmarking into internal AI initiatives for continuous improvement.
