About the Role: Reporting to the Director of Business & Mission, the Sourcing and Procurement Manager leads the development of Sourcing and Procurement strategies, plans, directs, and coordinates the activities with both internal and external stakeholders involved in purchasing materials, products, and service. The Sourcing and Procurement Manager manages all Direct and Indirect Procurement activities for the company, negotiates and enforces contracts with third parties to ensure a timely and quality supply of goods and services. The Sourcing and Procurement Manager sources and purchases Direct Material from farm products for further processing, ensure compliance with the company’s relevant standards, interacting with farmers, harvesters, brokers, other market operators. The Sourcing and Procurement Manger sources and purchases Indirect Material from various local and oversea suppliers, working closely with every department, they act as a business partner to accelerate and improve the company's performance and the procurement services. Delivering savings is a constant area of focus for the team. The Sourcing and Procurement Manager shall work seamlessly with Senior Agricultural Manager and their Expansion team to identify and certify new certified farms and develop new coconut farms supply chains in Thailand and overseas. The right candidate must have strong Strategic Sourcing, Negotiation, and Planning skills, in-depth knowledge about procurement process and international procurement good practices, is Fluent in English and Advanced in Microsoft Tools for planning and presentation purposes, Familiar with Food Manufacturing environment, and/or experience in the agriculture industry is a big advantage.

Requirements

  • 10 years of work experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain.
  • Analytical skills, highly thorough and accurate with strong ethical values.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to negotiate costs and contracts. A high level of numeracy and literacy is required.
  • Proficient in Thai, English and with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Valid driving license and owning a car.
  • Thai National

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred MBA in Purchasing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Business Administration or any other relevant major.
  • Previous experience from the agricultural / fresh fruits sector, having worked within a similar role, with fruits, farmers network, and an understanding of the seasonal effects is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic sourcing
  • Define our sustainable sourcing strategy,
  • Explore creative sourcing models improving the value creation for the company and other stakeholders. Prepare the corresponding business cases,
  • Execute the 5-year sourcing plan built on regenerative organic farming and fast growth,
  • Negotiate, finalize and execute supply agreements and other contracts with third-parties.
  • Planning
  • Develop direct material supply plan for budget, actively provide inputs to improve forecast reliability.
  • Lead and manage the S&OP, Budget and Reforecast processes,
  • Define and maintain dynamic metrics supporting the analysis of the market drivers and trends. Monitor suppliers’ capacities,
  • Oversee delivery plan managed by Procurement Supervisor and Buyer, in coordination with key stakeholders such as production, and supply chain.
  • Co-develop and manage with Agriculture team an Annual Expansion plan and Target number of certified farms increment and monitor it thoroughly to deliver the plan.
  • Develop annual indirect material cost saving plan and strategy.
  • Procurement
  • Negotiate favorable prices and terms, while ensuring the utmost quality and reliability,
  • Implement purchasing contracts, supply agreement, goods and services agreements with third-parties, farmers and collection centers to secure production and to ensure long-term sustainable partnerships,
  • Purchase raw material volumes daily based on production plan and negotiate prices.
  • Ensure timely supply of goods and services as per departments’ needs,
  • Develop and maintain company policies & procedures towards sustainable sourcing and procurement good practices.
  • Monitor usage and secure reliable data entry in the company ERP,
  • Set up KPIs and monitor suppliers’ performance.
  • Management
  • Hire, train and manage a team of 2 Supervisors and 2buyers and Admin Staff,
  • Provide guidance, recommendations, and enhance personal development of the team.
  • Manage department budget, allocation, and monitor expenses.
  • Oversee team’s performance, determine KPI and monitor them thoroughly.
  • Support current and future organizational needs in line with company culture and values, promoting coaching, initiatives, creative ideations and right to fail,
  • Promote an open culture built on performance, co-development, accountability and customer service mindset.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the Board of Directors, the Leadership Team and as needed by the company
