About The Position

The Sourcing Analyst I/II at Rockline Industries plays a crucial role in the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) department by conducting data analysis, maintaining databases, and participating in supplier management. This position involves leading medium-sized sourcing initiatives and managing a small to medium category, contributing to the overall success of the sourcing function within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field required.
  • 0-2 years of Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain experience for Sourcing Analyst I; 2+ years for Sourcing Analyst II.
  • Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
  • CPSM certification preferred for Sourcing Analyst II.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or equivalent ERP system is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing environments.
  • CPSM certification for Sourcing Analyst II.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, maintain, and analyze necessary data to support sourcing, including spend data and supplier financials.
  • Develop, update, and maintain critical data used in systems utilized by Sourcing and their internal customers.
  • Manage a variety of reporting functions to keep Sourcing Managers and internal customers informed.
  • Lead the coordination of required supplier documentation.
  • Assist in the development of Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
  • Conduct analysis on data to help stakeholders understand cost models and savings forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation of supplier review and negotiation strategy and documents.
  • Assist in the on-boarding of suppliers and materials.
  • Manage a category with higher complexity, including supplier selection and relationship management.
  • Follow up with suppliers on material quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with internal customers and category managers to assist in sourcing initiatives.
  • Manage small projects related to sourcing events.
  • Understand and summarize data for use in executive presentations.
