About The Position
This position is responsible for: receiving, sorting, pricing, and preparing donated items for display in the store; determining the suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assisting in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the store and sorting room area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One year of experience working in a warehouse preferred
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Responsibilities
- Receives, inspects, and sorts donated items such as clothes, shoes, household items, bric-a-brack, etc., according to the category and condition
- Selects items suitable for store display and distributes the same to the appropriate area for further sorting and/or pricing
- Discards items in accordance with established procedures
- Tags items with specially coded tickets and/or prices in accordance with established procedures
- Hangs clothes on hangers and places them on clothes racks
- Cleans all display racks and shelves
- Sweeps and mops floor, cleans windows and mirrors, ensures that the store is maintained in a clean and inviting manner
