About The Position

This position supervises and participates in the receiving, sorting, pricing, packing, and distributing of merchandise. The supervisor ensures all items are processed efficiently, effectively, and timely, adhering to established Salvation Army policies, procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations. The role also involves ensuring all sorting activities maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality control, and serving as a liaison to store personnel to ensure they receive needed merchandise.

Requirements

• Six months experience sorting and pricing merchandise in a retail environment.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Some supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in the receiving, sorting, pricing, packing, and distributing of merchandise.
• Ensures all items are processed in an efficient, effective and timely manner in accordance with established Salvation Army policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations.
• Ensures that all sorting activities are conducted in a manner that will provide maximum efficiency, productivity, and quality control.
• Serves as liaison to store personnel to ensure stores receive the needed merchandise.
