About The Position

SWD Inc., a leader in Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting, is seeking a full-time entry-level Sorting Machine Operator for the 2nd Shift. The company, established in 1980, has grown to over 200 employees operating in a 250,000 sq. ft. facility in Addison, Illinois. This role involves working Monday-Friday from 3 pm-11 pm, with potential overtime on weekends as business needs require. The starting pay is $18.75 per hour, with performance evaluations and potential raises at 60 days, 6 months, 12 months, and annually thereafter. SWD is a Drug-Free workplace, and all job offers are contingent on successful completion of a Background Check, Drug Screen, and Pre-Employment Physical.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 40lbs
• Must be available to work weekends

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Comprehend shop order instructions.
• Perform sample testing as required.
• Use a digital caliper.
• Determine if the machine output is correct.
• Keep assigned machines and work area clean.
• Use a recess penetration gauge.
• Be able to recognize under and over-feeding of parts.
• Understand basic machine functions.
• Drive a lift truck.
