About The Position

The Sortex Operator position at Riceland Foods involves operating and maintaining color sorting equipment and bin gates, checking samples of rice, recording all required information on documentation sheets, and performing required sanitation and cleaning tasks. The job requires frequent use of hands, occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The regular work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am or 7am to 7pm, working 4 days on and 4 days off, including weekends.
