About The Position

This position is responsible for the day to day operations of CADRE’s/ADR/Sorters, X-Rays, APQC, and new future technology. This includes being responsible for performing routine equipment maintenance and electrical, troubleshooting and solving equipment issues and assisting in continuous improvement efforts. This role has a regular Mon-Fri schedule, tentative to changes as necessary for job functions

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electrical theory and its application
  • Knowledge of safety procedures applicable to working with and on live circuits
  • Knowledge of electrical construction and maintenance practices and procedures
  • Equipment Maintenance – Performing maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Trouble Shooting – Determine causes of operating errors and decide course of action to remedy problem
  • Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Safety and Security - Observe safety and security procedures; Report potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly
  • Required LME or LMPE Oregon License
  • Six months to one year plant related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization in English.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Journeyman Electrical Certificate from Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Arkansas, Utah, Idaho, or Maine

Responsibilities

  • Install and modify new and existing mechanical electrical equipment according to installation instructions.
  • Perform equipment start-ups, repairs and overhauls.
  • Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
  • Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.
  • Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems.
  • Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in electrical equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and modifications to the mechanical electrical systems as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project plans and technical documents.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to diagnose problems and recommend cost-effective solutions
  • Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Be actively engaged in safety, participate in safety programs, engage in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members
  • Performs maintenance work, troubleshooting, repair and adjustments of sorters; changes and replaces belts, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors, pumps, etc., and performs repairs as needed or directed
  • Performs and assigns checks necessary to insure normal plant equipment operation.
  • Normalizes sorters as required and needed throughout the work day.
  • Completes AMD and CIL as required to maintain optimal sorter performance
  • Communicate with Production Team Leaders and Team Leader Maintenance performance of all sorters and needed service for optimum performance and reliability
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for Sorter Operators and Trainees: provide guidance and coaching to achieve daily goals in Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Produce results within work assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned
