About The Position
The Clinical Coordinator performs under the daily supervision of the Program Director. Responsibilities Correlate and coordinate clinical education and evaluate its effectiveness Evaluate the progress of student performance in the clinical area Assist the Program Director in coordinating clinical education Supervise student performance at clinical affiliates Develop student objectives and evaluation tools for clinical education Perform competency based clinical evaluations Maintain student clinical assignments and attendance Act as resource to sonography students Responsible for Schedule of student clinical assignments to match established JRDMS guidelines Assist in continuous program assessment Instruct specific units of teaching as necessary Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress Pursue continuing education in professional practice and instructional methodology Cooperate with the Program Director in periodic review and revision of clinical course material Provide training and education to clinical preceptors
Requirements
- Bachelors degree required
- Graduate of an educational program in Sonography
- 2 years of clinical experience as a sonographer
- State certificate as a Sonographer
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling
- Travel to affiliate clinical sites
