About The Position

Radia Imaging Center is looking for a Per Diem Sonographer to join our esteemed team of Sonographer professionals. Located in downtown Kirkland, Washington, our Outpatient Imaging Center operates Monday through Saturday, delivering exceptional support and operational excellence. Our facility boasts a comprehensive suite of advanced imaging technology, providing an excellent opportunity for sonographers to engage in a wide range of scanning experiences. Compensation: The salary range is $47.46-75.93 per hour (plus an additional 15% for per diem differential). The salary is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status. The pay range listed is hourly base pay; this position may be eligible for additional compensation, such as discretionary end of year bonus, shift differential (applied to all evening and weekend hours), extra shift bonus, and on-call pay.

Requirements

  • Current ARDMS registration.
  • Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR.
  • Successfully completed or graduated from a 2-4 year C.A.H.E.A. accredited ultrasound program, a B.S. degree in ultrasound technology, or an equivalent course of study (preferred).
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a sonographer (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Proactively and consistently understand the needs of our customers and patients.
  • Effectively provide service and resolve issues, meeting the expectations of both internal and external clients.

  • Perform all ultrasound imaging procedures, ensuring proper preparation, and positioning of patients to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest.
  • Organize and monitor patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health, and safety standards.
  • Utilize clear and effective communication to properly screen patients prior to scans for any precautions or contraindications related to the ordered exam.
  • Demonstrate the ability to thoroughly explain procedures to alleviate patient anxiety and ensure cooperation.
  • Provide preliminary assessments, summarize diagnostic data, and communicate this information along with diagnostic images to the interpreting physician.
  • Exercise independent judgment and problem-solving methods to produce high-quality diagnostic information.
  • Participate in the Peer-to-Peer Quality program, making necessary corrections to maintain quality standards.
  • Coordinate or participate in federally recognized and approved accreditation processes as necessary.
