About The Position
Performs general Ultrasound procedures at a professional and technical level not requiring constant supervision utilizing industry standards. Assures that DNV standards and specialty recommendations are met for the Ultrasound department. Understand the transfer and viewing of images through the P.A.C.S. system. Understand the ordering system through the R.I.S. (Radiology Information System) and EMR system. Clear understanding of Ultrasound call requirements. Coordinate care with radiologist or related physicians as needed. Maintain, clean, and re-stock each Ultrasound exam room when procedure is completed. Transportation of patients as needed. Maintains confidentiality of all Hospital matters i.e. HIPAA.
