We are currently recruiting for a OB/GYN Sonographer for our OB/GYN practice in Paoli, PA.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to accurately document scan findings.
Demonstrated thorough knowledge of ultrasound equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Formal education and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program required.
Current RDMS certification from ARDMS in Ob/Gyn required.
At least 2 years’ recent experience performing obstetrical scanning preferable.

Nice To Haves

Current FMF or NTQR certification in NT (Nuchal Translucency) preferable.
Additional ARDMS certification in Breast (BR) and Abdomen (AB) desirable.
Additional ARDMS certification and experience in Fetal Echocardiography (FT) desirable.
CPR certification a plus.
eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience beneficial.
Knowledge of specific order sets and related CPT coding a plus

Responsibilities

Reviews any prior images and imaging reports prior to ultrasound exam.
Reviews and verifies physician’s orders.
Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures, explains procedures, measures and positions patients for each anatomical view.
Performs high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with approved techniques and protocols, ensuring the transducer (probe) is correctly capturing images.
Presents images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
Evaluates images for quality and interprets images captured.
Maintains patient records; adds medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
Maintains ultrasound equipment and sterilizes room between ultrasound patients.
Utilizes PACs, EMR, and other systems related to imaging.
Stocks and replenishes supplies as required.
Maintains certifications by completing any assigned compliance and continuing education requirements.
Trains other Ultrasound Technicians as needed.
Performs other associated duties as assigned.
