About The Position

As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care. Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians. To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

Requirements

  • Vocational School Grad
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography program and 2 years related experience, upon hire
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sono, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Produce high quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam.
  • Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation.
  • Document all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly.
  • Obtain and evaluate pertinent patient history and physical findings that may affect the sonographic examination.
  • Explain procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Appropriate monitoring during all phases of procedure with special care taken to insure patient emotional and physical well-being.
