About The Position

We are seeking a Sonographer for a busy, respected Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinic in Bend, Oregon. This role requires technical excellence and a strong personality. We offer full-time opportunities (32-40 hours per week) and per-diem options (daytime only, Monday-Friday) working on-site. Requirements

  • Associate degree in diagnostic medical sonography accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Active license from the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Advanced knowledge and competence in all skills related to the performance of patient care.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Strong personal work habits with a high level of accountability and self-management skills that enable desired outcomes.
  • Easily able to adapt and maintain composure, effective at time priority and management, and able to respond to feedback constructively.
  • Strong communication skills, a teamwork mindset, and well-developed interpersonal capabilities that enable successful interactions with others.
  • Engages well with the team/patients through respectful and inclusive conduct.

Nice To Haves

  • OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred.
  • Additional specialty certifications related to OB/GYN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician/provider.
  • Acquires and analyzes data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies.
  • Use independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.
  • Generates reports on organization’s RIS system, works with the attending physician/provider to visualize sonographic examination on the OB view workstations.
  • Provides summary findings to the physician/provider to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
  • Prepares accurate and comprehensive preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians/providers when required, according to established procedures.
