Position Summary: Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, which require independent judgment and initiative. The procedures include but are not limited to: Abdominal OB/GYN Small Parts Arterial and Venus Vascular exams Interventional guidance procedures Pediatric and adult echocardiograms, a plus, or have a willingness to learn Call is required

Requirements

Registered by the ARDMS in Vascular preferred; other registries a plus/benefit.
Must obtain registry from ARDMS or equivalent with Vascular certification within two years of employment and maintain this registry/certification annually.
Additional registry in cardiac and/or OB/GYN, Abdominal/general preferred.
BLS required within six months of employment.
Previous ultrasound experience required.
Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
Typing and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

Able to work independently providing optimal images for diagnosis
Assist in patient transport
Able to assist in providing copies of images for patient care
Able to proficiently provide pertinent patient/procedure information and send images for offsite review
Become proficient in the use of Cerner for patient/reporting information entry and review.
Assist physicians/radiologists with interventional exams.
