Job Description : EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Associate's: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent education/experience Other: Graduation from a certified school of ultrasound CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider RVT preferred OB preferred PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: 2 years related experience and/or training SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Demonstrates competence in all areas of ultrasound positioning. Knowledge of physiology procedure preparation and technical factors. Able to operate all ultrasound equipment, and select and modify technical factors as needed. Provides for good patient rapport by maintaining positive and effective communication skills to alleviate patient anxiety. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Pay Range is $69.22 to $88.34 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
