About The Position

Start Strong: Earn a $3,000 sign-on bonus when you join the team! UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a Part-Time Sonographer to join our dedicated and collaborative Ultrasound Team! Schedule & Flexibility Daylight shifts Monday–Friday (choose from): • 7:00am–3:30pm • 7:30am–4:00pm • 8:00am–4:30pm Weekend shifts: 7:00am–3:30pm (Saturday & Sunday rotation) On-call rotation: 7 days/week after scheduled shifts Holiday requirement: 1–2 holidays per year What You’ll Do As a valued member of our team, you will: Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in patient diagnosis under physician supervision Obtain high-quality images of cross-sectional anatomy while demonstrating strong knowledge of scanning techniques and equipment operation Review patient history, assess physician orders, and apply departmental protocols to ensure optimal results Assist physicians with invasive procedures while strictly adhering to universal protocol standards Ensure accurate exam coding, charge entry, and image archiving within RIS and ISITE systems Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide efficient, patient-centered care Why UPMC Presbyterian? Requirements

  • Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.
  • RDMS or RVT registered or registry eligible preferred.
  • Completion of Physics portion of registry preferred.
  • Must obtain RDMS or RVT within 12 months of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) OR Registered Vascular Technologist
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Nice To Haves

  • RDMS or RVT registered or registry eligible preferred.
  • Completion of Physics portion of registry preferred.
