About The Position

Stand Alone ED needing a multimodality sonographer to work PRN with limited call in our Stand Alone ED and Outpatient Center in Jamestown. Performs diagnostic general and vascular ultrasound procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.

Requirements

• Experienced Sonographers with Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound examinations, including cardiac and vascular studies, according to established protocols.
• Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
• Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Obtain and analyze patient history and clinical information to tailor ultrasound examinations effectively.
• Document and maintain accurate records of examinations and findings.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.
