More about our team Radiology/Imaging Services unit provides high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including wide range of medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging techniques to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Valuing and ensuring patient care, patient comfort, safety, and adherence to imaging protocols are paramount while collaborating with healthcare professionals, quality control, and the adoption of new technologies while maintaining quality control measures for equipment and processes, adhering to strict safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards are key functions. How you’ll contribute A Sonographer, Vascular, who excels in this role: Operates within the current scope of practice for Registered Vascular Technologists. Performs all tests and services offered by the noninvasive vascular lab at the main campus and all off sites. Uses Epic to coordinate the workflow of patients and documents when needed. Follows safety procedures and guidelines/ reports unsafe practices to the chief technologist. Participates in continuing education in accordance with the Managers Education Guide. Reports equipment problems, cleans, disinfects, and maintains equipment. Completes patient interviews and performs vascular assessment. Identifies patient care problems and takes appropriate action. Maintains effective and efficient use of chemicals and other materials. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA regulations. Maintains technical competency in accordance with certifying organization. Participates in departmental and institutional PI initiatives. Complies with scheduling, overtime, and on-call requirements. Engages in practices that help to ensures that the fiscal operation of the department is sound. Requirements

  • Applicants should have a completion of an accredited Sonography Program.
  • Must pass related vascular certification within one year of the date of hire.
  • Transferred employees are required to pass the vascular certification exam within one year of the transfer date.
  • Once registry is achieved, it is the responsibility of the technologist to maintain continuous active registry status.
