About The Position

The Sonographer will function as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serve as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Requirements

• Associates Degree preferred or equivalent clinical experience.
• Current ARDMS
• Has met all relevant certification and licensure requirements required by the account
• 1-2 years of experience in a Clinical Imaging/Ultrasound environment
• Experience/ability to work with Ultrasound/Imaging software (Viewpoint, Clickview, Epic, etc.) preferred
• Ability to plan, organize, follow-up and multi-task on a daily basis
• Ability to function with minimal supervision
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, Clinical Managers, and doctors
• Must have the ability to problem solve effectively in a timely manner
• Light lifting may be required
• Work in climate-controlled office environment
• Attendance and punctuality record
• Quality of work performed consistently
• Compliance with company policy and procedures
• Demonstrates sound ultrasound and patient practices when making decisions

Nice To Haves

• GE Voluson S8 experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly explain the examination procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner
• Perform scanning test/functions according to ordering physician's requisition
• Execute protocols established by the Practice Manager and other physicians consistently
• Set up and clean all scanning equipment and work area prior to seeing first patient
• Maintain an adequate amount of supplies, place orders accordingly
• Attend training sessions to improve scanning skills
• Troubleshoot any equipment/software issues, report issues in a timely manner
