Position Details: Location: 40 Holland Street, Somerville, MA 02144 Department: Radiology – Ultrasound Schedule: Full time, 40 hours/weekly, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Primary Responsibilities: As directed, leads and coordinates the daily support operations of an imaging Ultrasound department Provides technical oversight and supervision to imaging technologists Responsibilities may include technical oversight, appointment schedules, patient flow, reception, and area ambiance Ensures that work unit meets performance standards and identifies and recommends solutions to operational barriers Demonstrates the ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Provides exemplary patient service and is a role model for staff May assist with monitoring, management and development of department budgets As an Ultrasonographer, performs and assists in a variety of standard and specialized examinations and procedures per licensure You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit
  • Associate’s degree
  • Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonographic program and ARDMS certified
  • Active CPR certification
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • 3+ years of direct technologist experience

Nice To Haves

  • RDMS/RVT
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of imaging practices and procedures specific to area of specialization
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership potential, with exceptional customer service skills
  • Proven patience, empathy, and ability to react appropriately in stressful situations
