In our Maternal-Fetal Care Center clinic, you’ll collaborate closely with providers, residents, and fellows in a supportive, team-oriented environment. We also partner with specialists at Children’s of Wisconsin to ensure seamless, comprehensive care for patients whose babies may require additional support after delivery. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate sonographer who is eager to grow their expertise, contribute to a collaborative team, and make a difference in the lives of patients and families during some of their most critical moments. Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist administers ultrasound procedures to pregnant patients, operates ultrasound equipment, prepares patient rooms, equipment and supplies. Position requires assisting with invasive procedures (amniocentesis), Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, high-detail Level 2 ultrasounds and anatomy surveys.

Requirements

  • Graduate or a student in a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE) or Canadian Medical Association (CMA), that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical Ultrasound/Sonography. Currently the only organizations that offer programmatic accreditation under the aforementioned associations are the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and the Canadian Medical Association (CMA).
  • Newly hired, experienced sonographers must be registry eligible through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
  • Sonographers will be required to be registered in OB/GYN (OB) and Fetal Echo (FE) and certified in Nuchal Translucency (NT).
  • A one-time competency assessment in Cervical Length evaluation will be required for individuals who have not previously been credentialed in Cervical Length assessment, to demonstrate competency.
  • Each registry and certification not obtained at the time hire will need to be completed every 9 months until all are complete.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life support for the Healthcare provider (BLS) or an American Heart Association (AHA) approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Ultrasound/Sonography is preferred.
  • Substantial training and current clinical experience with ARDMS registry will be accepted.
  • Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment and have basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
  • Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred.
  • One year of current clinical experience is preferred.
