This Lead Sonographer opportunity may be a great fit for you if you’re ready to take the next step beyond scanning and into a leadership role. The position involves mentoring and training sonographers, ensuring imaging quality and clinic protocols, supporting workflow efficiency, participating in QA initiatives, and serving as a liaison between physicians and sonography staff. You’ll also assist with onboarding, scheduling coordination, equipment oversight, maintaining accreditation standards (including those established by American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine), and ensuring compliance with documentation policies. Strong communication skills, a calm presence in urgent situations, compassion when delivering information, and effective collaboration with OBs, MFMs, genetic counselors, MAs, PASRS nursing teams, and upper management are essential for success in this role. Job Summary: This position will be primarily based out of Town Hall and West Bend, with responsibility for making schedules at Calhoun and McKinley- and potentially filling in there, as needed. We are looking to make our MFM staff more collectively, and this role will work closely with the MFM Lead Sonographer at MFCC to help optimize scheduling and utilize our team as efficiently as possible. Because of this, there is the possibility to travel to MFCC when needed at main campus to help cover the Lead sonographer there- although this will be limited, it is a possibility. Performs high quality sonography examinations and serves as a lead. Provides guidance and instruction for staff. Coordinates workflow, staff schedules, monitors quality, and works closely with staff, physicians, and other departments to continuously provide and improve service and quality.
