About The Position

In keeping with the Marian Medical Center healthcare philosophy, the Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures at a technically proficient level. Positions and instructs the patient, operates ultrasound equipment and determines the technical factors for ultrasound procedures. Ensures correct marking/labeling of images, provide and confirm proper/adequate documentation of procedures to assist in diagnosis. Technically proficient in a variety of ultrasound procedures. Ability to train staff members to perform procedures requiring independent judgement. Position requires ingenuity and initiative for the diagnosis and therapy of disease. Travel between MRMC - SM and FHMC - SLO offices required

Requirements

  • Technical School Graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasound and 2-5 years experience performing Ultrasound procedures., upon hire
  • 2 years high-risk/level II OB Ultrasoundincluding Fetal Echo.
  • Experienced withUS guided invasive fetal proceduresincluding amniocentesis and CVS
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (must be from the American Heart Association), within 30 Days
  • Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or Registered Vascular Specialist, upon hire or Registered Vascular Technologist, upon hire
