About The Position

EvergreenHealth is seeking a Sonographer II to join the Maternal Fetal Medicine - Perinatology team. This role primarily involves performing obstetrical ultrasound examinations, including biometry and anatomy surveys, while collaborating with perinatologists to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• ARDMS-certified in obstetrics
• 1 year of experience in an ultrasound setting
• 6 months experience in high-risk OB ultrasound
• 1st Trimester Nuchal Translucency OR ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography Certified
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound examinations of patients, including Twin-Twin Transfusion evaluations and fetal echocardiograms.
• Conducts basic and targeted obstetrical ultrasound examinations in all three trimesters, including transabdominal and transvaginal scanning.
• Promotes good public relations between patients, family members, hospital, and community by fostering a friendly atmosphere.
• Communicates to patients about the status of procedures in lay language, maintaining their confidence.
• Acquires and manipulates 3D and 4D images.
• May provide portable examinations at bedside as requested by attending physicians.
• Assists Perinatologist with various invasive outpatient procedures.
• Independently assists perinatologist with operating room guidance for surgical procedures such as cerclage placements and Twin-Twin Transfusion Laser Ablation procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
