About The Position

Prepares and performs various sonography studies per protocol and as ordered per the provider. Processes studies to include preparation for interpretation by the physician and a preliminary test result. Provides patient care in accordance with the standards of care specific to age and the individuals' needs. Coordinates departments QA initiatives. Maintains required competencies. Develops departmental and/or community wide educational activities. Is responsible for facilitating the national accreditation process. Requirements

  • Graduate of or currently enrolled in an allied health program is required.
  • Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required. OR must be eligible to sit for the RVT or RVS exam AND must obtain registry within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills

  • Friendly and customer service oriented.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative and flexibility with a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrates excellent judgement and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program is preferred.
  • Experience in ultrasound/sonography preferred.
