About The Position

The Sonographer-Echocardiographer will perform complete and focused echocardiographic examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. This role involves maintaining established departmental policies and procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of AMA approved school of Medical Imaging preferred.
• Graduate of CAHEA Accredited Program in Ultrasonography.
• Must be registered by ARDMS, ARRT, or equivalent organization within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonography procedures and obtains patient history.
• Maintains records of examination date and other pertinent information on patients.
• Checks equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis.
• Maintains equipment in efficient operating order and contacts outside service for major malfunctions.
• Maintains order and cleanliness of work area.
• Positions and transports patients comfortably.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
• Attends meetings as required.
