About The Position

Provides patient care services via sonographic exams/procedures utilizing ultrasound equipment as prescribed by physicians. Provides patient care essential to ultrasound procedures.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Science or Allied Health Field required (Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technologist, etc.)
• Must be: a. Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Sonographer (RCDS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or b. CCI registry are required within one year of hire date.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk
• Experience in M-mode, 2D Imaging, Color Doppler, Transesophageal Echo (TEE), Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo and Contrast Echoes.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Ultrasound Equipment, digital archiving, pediatric ultrasounds- preferred.
• Pediatric ultrasound training and experience preferred.
