About The Position

This position is for a Sonographer at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The role involves performing high-quality diagnostic sonographic examinations and assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The position is on-site and offers a sign-on bonus of $2,500. The standard hours are 24.00 per week, with a shift schedule that includes every other Monday and Wednesday, every other Thursday, and Fridays, with start times varying between 7:30 AM and 8:15 AM, along with a Saturday rotation of about five times a year.

Requirements

• Department related sonography experience is preferred.
• Graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the United States Department of Education (USDOE).
• Completion of ARRT approved program is required for incumbents that also function as a Radiologic Technologist.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
• ARDMS certified in breast ultrasound and physics (BR) or certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certifications through ARRT in Breast Sonography (BS) is required within 12 months of hire for ARRT and 9 months for ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic sonographic examinations.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide guidance and instruction for students, residents, and other technologists as needed.
