About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a full time Sommelier position. Location: Moss Member's Club - 520 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10036 Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time schedule. We produce one-of-a-kind catered events and unparalleled dining experiences in a variety of cultural, corporate, entertainment, and private venues throughout New York City and beyond.Job SummaryThis Sommelier position works closely with the Wine Director and front-of-house leadership to ensure seamless wine service and overall guest experience.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Sommelier
  • Solid foundational wine knowledge and a strong interest in continued learning
  • Strong service instincts and comfort working on the floor
  • Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to lift and move cases of wine as part of cellar responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Providing knowledgeable, gracious, and attentive wine service on the floor
  • Assisting members and guests with wine selections and pairings
  • Supporting all aspects of dining room service as part of the broader FOH team
  • Executing proper wine service standards
  • Performing cellar work, including organization, labeling, storage, and inventory upkeep
  • Assisting with receiving, stocking, and maintaining the wine cellar
  • Supporting wine education and training for the service team as directed
  • Working collaboratively with FOH staff and management to deliver a cohesive guest experience
