About The Position

The Solventless Extraction Technician at Sanctuary Medicinals is responsible for producing solventless extract products in a laboratory setting. This role involves various tasks from washing plant materials to pressing rosin and post-processing, ensuring adherence to established standard operating procedures (SOPs). The technician will work under the guidance of the Solventless Extraction Lead and Laboratory Manager, contributing to a team-oriented environment focused on quality and compliance in the cannabis industry.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50lbs
• Perform repetitive wrist and arm motions
• Transition between squatting and standing positions consistently throughout the workday
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed directions
• Previous solventless extraction experience is a plus
• Strong desire to work in the cannabis industry
• Competence in algebra and basic mathematics
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep clean documentation
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment is a huge plus
• Ability to work both quickly and carefully
• Ability to run procedures using both metric and imperial measurement units
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must pass Florida background checks
• Ability to work on your feet the majority of the day in a fast-paced environment

• Previous solventless extraction experience
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment

Responsibilities

• Running plant material washes for hash production according to established SOPs
• Maintaining laboratory equipment as needed
• Cleaning up the laboratory space at the end of each day and ensuring the space is ready to run in the morning
• Preparing hash for pressing, including freeze-drying and packing press bags according to established SOPs
• Running the rosin press following established SOPs
• Tracking material use and filling out electronic and physical records accordingly
• Preparing samples for analytical testing
• Potential for cross-training and occasional work in other areas of the Extraction Lab as needed
