About The Position

We're one of the world's largest providers of transportation and logistics services. Our customers range from small and mid-sized companies up to global enterprises. Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment. This position drives insights about the UPS network of today and tomorrow and involves project areas including building quantitative logistics models and developing innovative data visualizations. He/She will have project work matched to skillsets, strengths, and interests.

Requirements

• Rising college junior or senior, graduate student or recent graduate within the last 24 months pursuing a degree in Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Sufficient and effective knowledge and experience in programming and algorithms.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units and to different levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Develops analytical models and data visualizations to drive analytic insights.
• Interacts with cross-functional teams to model current operations processes and evaluate potential solutions.
• Presents data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
