PayPal is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our Global Professional Services NA Enterprise team. This role is pivotal in helping our customers navigate the complexities of our payment solutions. As a Solutions Engineer, you will quickly familiarize yourself with the technical capabilities of PayPal's products, understanding their unique features and the benefits they offer to our customers. You will serve as the voice of our customers when engaging with internal product teams, ensuring that their needs and feedback are communicated effectively. In this position, you will engage directly with our customers, which include developers, product managers, engineers, and business heads. Your role will involve collaborating with these stakeholders from the pre-sales phase through to solution design. You will leverage your functional product and technical knowledge to educate customers, solve problems, and provide guidance throughout the integration process. Supporting our sales team will also be a key responsibility, as you will help ensure that technical influencers within our customer organizations understand the advantages of our technology and how to implement it effectively. As part of your primary responsibilities, you will lead technical solution discovery with larger enterprise-level merchants, creating innovative, customer-driven solution proposals and designs utilizing PayPal's suite of API products. You will identify any product or functionality gaps necessary for delivering solutions and work closely with internal teams to define enhancements. Additionally, you will educate merchants on optimal integration strategies and user experience best practices, develop solution design templates for future use, and provide mentorship to junior team members. Your active participation in product management discussions will also be crucial as you contribute to product design and roadmap reviews.
