The Solutions Engineer (SE) will manage the regional product portfolio for assigned technologies in the Americas, acting as a liaison with the corporate office in Sweden to align market insights with product development and partnerships. The SE will support R&D teams throughout the product lifecycle, from inception to launch, implementation, and support escalations, while shaping next-generation versions. This role bridges regional and corporate efforts to align market needs with product strategies.

  • Operate as subject matter expert on assigned electrical/electronic video technology features and capabilities.
  • Research and review certifications or legal considerations of products in the market they are entering.
  • Review and provide engineering insight on product sales performance as defined by management.
  • Analyze correlation between product sales performance and new products released and Axis complimentary products.
  • Create materials for local training initiatives in collaboration with the Academy team.
  • Knowledge transfer in the pre-sales, sales and post-sales process for new products, technologies and market trends.
  • Map partnerships and complimentary partner technologies for assigned technologies.
  • Provide engineering support for pre-sales and professional services activities, including fieldwork and visits as well as for new product pilots and proof of concept implementations.
  • Represent Axis at both internal and external face speaking opportunities when appropriate.
  • Work in lock step with product marketing activities and customize market messaging around technologies for the local market.
  • Set project milestones for engineering components of launch of products and distribution of materials for product.
  • Resolve problems and be key contact with project stakeholders from RD, Pdm, Marketing and Sales & Support.
  • Lead and motivate the project team towards successful goal completion.
  • Handle day-to-day project management activities like planning, risk mitigation, and follow up of project progress and facilitate planning sessions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer in the security industry, or 7 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer in the security industry.
  • 5 years of experience working with video transport streaming protocols and compression technologies including WEB RTC, AV1, H.265, RSTP and ONVIF profiles (a,c,d,g,m,s,t), Zip stream, Average bitrate.
  • IP Networking covering LAN and WAN hardware (routers and firewalls) configuration, high level protocol knowledge IPv4/v6, HTTP(2/S), RTSP MQTT and SIP.
  • Cloud platforms specifically either AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Video forensic tools utilizing large language models and AI model based analytics including AI training models, datasets and learning techniques.
  • System on chip image technologies (WDR, light enhancement, image stabilization, image processing).
  • Cyber security best practices and certificate-based authentication as well as FIPS and ISO standards.
  • Phased array FMC radar technology and sensor fusion with visual data.
  • Microsoft authentication methods including active directory, entra id, ntlm and kerberos.
