About The Position

Airbyte is the open-source standard for Data Movement, enabling data teams to move data from various sources to data warehouses, lakes, AI applications, and LLMs. As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with the GTM team to enhance the qualification and onboarding process for new customers, supporting sales and post-sales functions to improve customer satisfaction and retention. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact the rapidly growing data infrastructure sector and advance your career in a Series B startup environment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a B2B customer-facing role, ideally as a sales engineer or similar.
  • 2+ years of SaaS / tech / startup experience.
  • Solid understanding and familiarity with two or more modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#).
  • Familiarity with modern data infrastructure - cloud applications and databases, ELT, warehouses, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data movement tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical expert on the nuances and details of data movement via Airbyte.
  • Work directly with Sales to technically qualify prospects and close deals.
  • Collaborate with external technical counterparts to scope Airbyte engagements.
  • Ensure customer success by working with Airbyte technical support.
  • Document technical requirements, workflows, and functionality of prospects.
  • Communicate technical feature requests and competitive intelligence internally.
  • Demonstrate the use and best practices of Airbyte's product frequently.
  • Represent and evangelize Airbyte externally at conferences, road shows, and customer events.
