Cisco seeks a highly motivated, outcome-focused individual to join our Solutions Engineering team as a Solutions Engineer (SE). In this role, you will be part of the wider Networking Incubation Sales team and will be responsible for technical closure of sales opportunities to meet and exceed assigned quota. You will work with one or more Account Executives, plan sales strategies, drive technical proof of value tests (POV), build solution designs, deliver customer presentations, and close opportunities. You will work within the global Networking Incubation organization as a Solutions Engineer, and act as a subject matter expert on Cisco Meraki Smart Cameras & Sensors. You will be instrumental in driving the transformation of physical security and smart buildings for our customers across multiple segments and verticals. You will be the authority regarding the technical aspects of the covered solutions. Solutions Engineers must be comfortable building rapport with their client's technical staff, serving as a trusted adviser within the accounts that they support. Your key responsibilities include demonstrations, articulating benefits and features to customers, and designing tailored architecture solutions that align with specific business needs and objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical sales role, acting in a consultative fashion, educating customers, partners, and team members on value propositions and business drivers, coupled with understanding of the sales cycle and challenges that can affect the business, confirmed by closed opportunities.
  • Significant experience with Cisco or relevant key competitor physical security solutions, primarily video surveillance / CCTV and Environmental Sensors.
  • Experience prioritizing customer feature requests that drive additional revenue, and working with business unit stakeholders (Product Management and Engineering) to drive portfolio evolution.
  • Knowledge of Cisco's Solutions, networking fundamentals.

Nice To Haves

  • CMSS, CCNP, CCDP, or similar vendor certification.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Spaces or relevant key competitor location-based services platforms.
  • Creativity, determination, and flexibility in driving demand and pipeline.
  • Above-average written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, and technical/non-technical presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with cross-architecture solutions including IOT, Collaboration, Networking, and Security/Observability (Splunk or relevant key competitor).
