About The Position

The Solutions Engineer (SE) at Cisco serves as a trusted advisor and partner to top Enterprise Organizations, focusing on developing technical relationships with customers. This role involves collaborating with Account Executives in a pre-sales capacity, showcasing Cisco product solutions, and designing customized products to meet specific customer needs. The SE will work towards demonstrating the business value of Cisco Services and Solutions, ensuring that the architectural vision aligns with customer challenges and priorities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of networking/telecommunications/datacenter industry experience.
• Pre-Sales experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent experience.
• CCNP, CCDP or similar vendor Certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of Collaboration, Security, SDN, server and desktop virtualization.
• Candidate must reside in the Houston market for regular customer visits.
