We are seeking a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to join our team in Boise, ID. Our engineers are essential to the success of our customers and our business. The Solutions Engineer is part of a dedicated team of Engineers and Architects that partner with and serve as trusted advisors to our customers. This role involves both pre- and post-sales consultation, design, and implementation support. Our Solutions Engineers come from diverse backgrounds and generally have a mix of experience in engineering, technical skills across various technologies, and the ability to develop a broad and deep understanding of our customer’s requirements. This position will work alongside other engineers and may assist with creating bill of materials, statements of work, and components of technical proposals.

  • Experience with a variety of on-prem, hybrid, and cloud technologies, IT operations, and a strategic business understanding is essential.
  • Ideal team members have experience in consulting engagements, managing customer expectations, and should understand many of the following concepts with proficiency in at least one:
  • Security Frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc.)
  • EDR/XDR/NDR

  • OT/IOT Security

  • Data Loss Prevention
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in designing, deploying, and delivering security solutions.
  • Skilled in technical project management and documentation delivery.
  • Ability to work well within a team and potentially mentor newer engineers.
  • Relevant industry certifications (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Communicating technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical staff within customer organizations.
  • Working with Solutions Architects to create and assess system designs.
  • Collaborating with customers on solution designs and deployments.
  • Maintaining relevant certifications in technical focus areas.
  • Assisting with key strategic account projects under the guidance of more senior engineers.
  • Supporting both pre-sales designs and post-sales implementations alongside engineering peers.
  • Developing deployment standards for a diverse customer base and industry verticals, reflecting these standards in Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Supporting other engineers and local Solutions Architects to maintain and improve deployment standards.
  • Reviewing project scopes for validation with Engineering Directors and Managers.
  • Contributing to bill of materials, statements of work, and technical proposal components.
  • Other duties as assigned.
