About The Position

The position involves strategic leadership and service delivery in IT Asset Management (ITAM). The candidate will develop and execute a comprehensive ITAM strategy that aligns with business goals, focusing on operational efficiency, cost optimization, and compliance. Responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes, ensuring full lifecycle visibility and software license optimization. The role also requires alignment of ITAM strategies with ITSM processes for workflow consistency and service quality, as well as providing leadership in vendor governance frameworks and sourcing strategies. The candidate will drive business development by partnering with sales and executive leadership to pitch ITAM services to clients, emphasizing ServiceNow-based solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of IT industry experience is acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT Asset Management, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow HAM/SAM best practices and implementation.
  • Demonstrated success in selling ITAM services and managed solutions to enterprise customers.
  • Deep understanding of ITSM and ITAM processes, demand planning, and procurement operations.
  • Experience with software audit defense, vendor contract negotiation, and IT governance frameworks.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with a focus on strategic metrics and data integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certifications: ServiceNow HAM/SAM, CSAM, CHAMP, ITIL v3/v4, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive ITAM strategy that aligns with business goals and drives operational efficiency, cost optimization, and compliance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes.
  • Align ITAM strategies with ITSM processes, including Incident, Change, and Configuration Management.
  • Provide leadership in vendor governance frameworks, sourcing strategies, and long-range supply chain planning.
  • Drive business development by partnering with sales and executive leadership to develop proposals and pitch ITAM services to clients.
  • Oversee global asset sourcing, acquisition, deployment, and recovery across all asset classes.
  • Demonstrate mastery of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process to support timely and compliant procurement cycles.
  • Manage supplier performance and risk through structured vendor management practices.
  • Ensure robust IT logistics execution, including import/export compliance and third-party logistics coordination.
  • Define and enforce asset policies, standards, and classification structures.
  • Leverage automation and analytics tools within ServiceNow to improve data accuracy and lifecycle forecasting.
  • Support ESG and sustainability initiatives through e-waste programs and responsible sourcing practices.
  • Implement robust controls to mitigate risk across the asset lifecycle.
  • Lead audit response efforts for software licensing and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure supplier engagements adhere to standards.
  • Maintain accurate asset records in alignment with internal audit and financial reporting requirements.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing ITAM delivery team.
  • Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for asset management programs.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on ITAM trends and operational impact.
