About The Position

The Solutions Consultant-Data Center role is responsible for driving business growth by developing, designing, and selling integrated data center and mission-critical infrastructure solutions. This role blends technical expertise with strategic sales capability, supporting customers across U.S. data center market. The position serves as a trusted advisor to hyperscale & colocation data center clients, engineering & design firms, general contractors, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • 3-10+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, electrical/mechanical systems, industrial distribution, or mission-critical operations
  • Proven success in technical sales, solution design, or sales engineering roles
  • Understanding of pump and filtration selections along with knowledge of system control considerations
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Acceptable driving record according to company guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree or technical certification (mechanical, IT infrastructure)
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Experience selling or designing solutions for data centers, manufacturing, or energy facilities
  • Existing relationships in the U.S. data center and mission-critical ecosystem

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within data center and mission-critical markets
  • Build strong relationships with facility managers, engineering firms, contractors, OEM partners, and executive stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools and territory planning
  • Educate customers on product capabilities, ROI, and technical differentiation
  • Conduct site assessments and gather technical requirements for water treatment & production and cooling infrastructure needs
  • Create solution designs, system layouts, and bills of material across product categories
  • Recommend optimal configurations based on industry best practices and customer objectives
  • Provide technical presentations, demos, and system walk-throughs during pre-sales cycles
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value and cost justification
  • Assist sales teams with proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, pricing, and solution documentation
  • Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth handoff and deployment
  • Stay current with market trends, competitive technologies, and mission-critical standards
  • Work closely with vendor/manufacturer partners to stay certified and knowledgeable on product portfolios
  • Represent the company at industry events, customer workshops, and technology briefings
  • Provide guidance on market feedback, customer needs, and competitive positioning
