About The Position

The Solutions Architect for Optima Tax Relief, LLC (“Optima”) is located in the Santa Ana, California office and reports to the CTO. This role must lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost -effective systems that align with business goals. It will work across cross-functional teams to guide the technology direction for customer-facing platforms, internal systems, and integrations with financial and government services.This role must also champion Optima’s culture and Core Values and help to deliver the best customer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software development and/or systems architecture.
• 3+ years in a Solutions Architect or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, C#, React (Certification, AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional).
• Experience with Designing scalable REST SPIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event driven systems.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Expert analytical skills.

• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
• Strong listening skills with the ability to understand and influence people.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in tax, financial services, or legal tech environments.
• Proficiency in technologies such as AWS Lambda, RDS, Cognito, S3 Step Functions, and EventBridge.
• Knowledge of Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
• Design end-to-end systems and integration strategies across cloud platforms.
• Guide the development teams with architecture blueprints, best practices, and technical oversight.
• Lead the adoption of modern technologies such as microservices, serverless architecture, and secure APIs.
• Evaluate and recommend third-party services, SaaS platforms, and vendor integrations.
• Ensure systems meet compliance, security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to define CI/CD, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure standards.
• Support legacy system modernization initiatives, including data migration and refactoring.
• Follow company protocols to ensure the highest level of security to protect the member's Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
• Other duties as assigned.
• In order to be provided the essential training required to be successful in this role, it is mandatory that you are present for and complete all essential/initial training onsite for up to 5 business days (unless prior management approval is provided). Please note that additional onsite training may be required depending on business need.
