Solutions Architect - US (NYC based)

About The Position

The Solutions Architect sits within the Tech org, as part of the Delivery team. Your mission is to help our biggest prospects and customers understand what “good” looks like technically, then design a ScorePlay-backed workflow that actually works in the real world. This is a role focused mainly on partnering closely with Sales to scope needs, answer technical questions, and build trust with broadcast, media, and IT stakeholders. The remaining time is spent on internal enablement and project work: improving how we scope and price deals, building repeatable templates, and coordinating with partners and suppliers when solutions involve more than just ScorePlay. You will be a translator and a trusted advisor: one foot in customer reality, one foot in our engineering context. You are not here to “pitch.” You are here to make the right solution clear, credible, and feasible.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Solutions Architect / Solutions Engineer / Pre-sales technical role (or equivalent) supporting complex B2B deals.
  • Strong broadcast, media, or Media Asset Management workflow understanding. This is a major advantage because the job is about translating the customer’s production reality into a workable ScorePlay architecture.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts with confidence to non-technical audiences
  • Strong diagramming and documentation habits: you can map an end-to-end workflow clearly without over-engineering the detail.
  • Comfort contributing to deal scoping and cost thinking: you can reason about tradeoffs, constraints, and what drives complexity.
  • A trusted-advisor mindset: you can represent ScorePlay honestly, acknowledge tradeoffs, and still guide customers toward the best outcome.
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working across functions in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-sales technical discovery & solution design
  • Join sales cycles once conversations become technical (often from the 2nd meeting onward) to uncover constraints, map workflows, and shape the right approach.
  • Translate customer goals into clear end-to-end workflows: capture → ingest → management in ScorePlay → distribution.
  • Produce high-level architecture diagrams and workflow maps that help technical and non-technical audiences align quickly.
  • Be the technical voice in RFPs and complex evaluations, including archive migration and multi-system environments.
  • Partner with Sales on deal scoping and cost inputs: helping structure what’s included, what’s optional, and what needs partner quotes.
  • Broadcast, media workflow, and “hands dirty” support
  • Bring practical broadcast and media infrastructure understanding into solution design (encoders, proxies, distribution, etc.).
  • Occasionally help customers troubleshoot or set up elements on their side when it unblocks progress
  • Cross-functional partnership (Sales, Delivery, Engineering, Product)
  • Work closely with the Deployment Engineer who will own the post-sign implementation, ensuring clean handover and continuity.
  • Brief Engineering when deeper technical validation or customization is required, with clear context and requirements.
  • Feed recurring workflow patterns and customer constraints back into Product and Tech so we improve what we sell and how we deliver it.
  • Partner and supplier management (when needed)
  • Coordinate with systems integrators and hardware / workflow vendors when solutions involve multiple parties.
  • Help structure project plans and communication across stakeholders for large, complex rollouts.
