We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect, for a project based assignment, to help analyze and document the architecture of existing enterprise applications within a complex technology environment. In this role, you will reverse engineer current systems to produce clear, high-level architectural documentation including application interactions, data flows, network topology, and infrastructure dependencies.

This position is ideal for an architect who enjoys digging into existing systems, understanding how they operate in production, and translating that understanding into clear architectural diagrams and documentation that can guide future modernization, scaling, and operational improvements.

You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams to assess system design, identify service dependencies, and document capacity requirements and service design considerations across the environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture, systems architecture, or infrastructure architecture roles
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architectures and distributed systems
• Experience analyzing and documenting existing systems and infrastructure environments
• Familiarity with network architecture concepts including service communication patterns, traffic flows, and system dependencies
• Experience creating architecture diagrams and technical documentation for complex systems
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical systems into clear documentation

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in large enterprise environments with multiple interconnected systems
• Familiarity with cloud or hybrid infrastructure architectures
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams
• Background in systems architecture, network architecture, or platform architecture

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer existing enterprise applications to understand system architecture and operational dependencies
• Produce high-level architecture documentation including system diagrams, data flows, and network flows
• Document service design requirements, application dependencies, and infrastructure integrations
• Analyze application capacity requirements and system scalability considerations
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams to gather technical information and validate architectural documentation
• Create clear architectural artifacts that help teams understand system interactions and support future planning
• Identify potential architectural risks, performance constraints, and system design limitations
• Ensure architectural documentation accurately reflects production environments and operational realities
