About The Position

The Owens Corning Global Information Services (GIS) Solutions Architect - Supply Chain Planning is responsible for stewardship of OC Supply Chain Planning standards/processes/best practices and providing guidance/direction to internal/external SAP Architects, Subject Matter Experts and Developers on their use. Within the GIS at Owens Corning (OC), the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (COE) team is focused on delivering tools and technology for the full supply chain planning experience. This includes all global processes for demand, supply and response, inventory optimization, order fulfillment, supply chain tower and S&OP processes. The Solutions Architect - Supply Chain Planning supports the needs of OC’s global businesses for Supply Chain Planning Systems. As a technology leader that possesses a complement of strong communication, leadership, and technical expertise, this role will be accountable to design and implement processes and solutions for our supply chain planners and businesses that use both new and existing technologies to fulfill business requirements in accordance with our OC enterprise architecture, IT standards, and Supply Chain strategy. A natural curiosity for technology and for researching and defining how to optimize processes within the Supply Chain COE, across the products listed above, are key for being successful in this role. The supply chain planning architect will design and implement solutions relating to strategic, tactical and executional level business planning processes. The planning architect will explore and assess the planning tools required to enable business requirements for demand and supply planning, production planning, network optimization, allocations planning, and other planning areas. This role must be familiar with S/4HANA related functions such as order to cash, plan to produce and procure to pay. The role will own the integration of identified planning tools with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics cloud as well other ERP products. The candidate should be flexible to take initiatives in assessing supply chain disruption solutions enabled via AI (analytical, generative and predictive) to lead business with new dimensions. The Solutions Architect – Supply Chain Planning will be responsible for all continuous improvement and automation of planning processes. This role is accountable for keeping up to date on new and emerging developments in IT solutions and is expected to gain a working level understanding of these technologies by pursuing opportunities to gain practical knowledge through professional events, peer networks, or formal training. This role will identify opportunities to integrate new technology with the current environment to address business opportunities.
