About The Position

The Solutions Architect III position at Amazon Web Services, Inc. involves acting as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support. The role requires analyzing application portfolios, identifying dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and assessing migration feasibility. Additionally, the role includes authoring AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, sharing best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community, and engaging with various stakeholders to define cloud strategies and deployments. Educating customers on the value proposition of AWS and ensuring that solutions are designed for successful deployment on AWS is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations.
• Employer will accept Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master's and one year of experience.
• One year of experience in designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications.
• Experience architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on-premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java.
• Experience with database architecture, performance tuning, and either Big Data or Hadoop.
