Summary: In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions to ensure secure and seamless access across Vizient. You will partner with security leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable IAM capabilities aligned with enterprise security strategy, compliance requirements, and operational needs. You will also contribute to IAM architecture, standards, and roadmap initiatives while guiding technical direction across the organization.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, including architecture or senior-level engineering roles, is required.
  • Strong experience with IAM technologies and platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD/Entra ID, SailPoint, CyberArk, or similar) is required.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP, and SCIM is required.
  • Deep understanding of identity governance, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity lifecycle management is required.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security principles, architecture, and enterprise security strategy is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex identity and access issues are required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is desired.
  • Experience working within regulatory and compliance frameworks such as SOX, HIPAA, NIST, or ISO is preferred.
  • Experience working in large, enterprise environments with distributed systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end IAM architectures, including authentication, authorization, identity governance, privileged access, and lifecycle management.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and resilient IAM solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and security strategy.
  • Evaluate IAM tools and technologies, including leading vendor selection and proof-of-concept efforts.
  • Drive integration and implementation of new IAM technologies, tools, and platforms within the enterprise ecosystem.
  • Create and maintain architectural diagrams, standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Contribute to IAM strategy development and long-term roadmap planning.
  • Communicate architectural decisions, risks, and solution options to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to align IAM capabilities with business and security needs.
